Bulgaria has no position on TPTI – 2024-08-18 09:47:57

/ world today news/ “The rulers keep showing a lack of a balanced foreign policy”. This was stated by the chairman of the BSP in his report to the National Council of the party. “The president is experienced as a hawk, the government – also as some kind of feathered. In any case, there is no will to defend the national interest”, stressed Mikhail Mikov.

The leader of the Socialists noted the ongoing attempts to get Bulgaria into the rhetoric of a quasi-war with Russia and the absence of a Bulgarian position on what is happening in the Middle East and North Africa. In this regard, Mikov also pointed to issues on which the administration has not yet determined its attitude: “What are the reasons that led to such an easy and quick outbreak of conflicts in various countries of the Middle East and North Africa? Who is interested and who is conducting the real fight against terrorism? What are the limits of admissibility of interference of one state in the internal affairs of another?”

Bulgaria also lacks a clear position on the issue of the Transatlantic Partnership for Trade and Investment, the chairman of the BSP pointed out. He recalled that the next negotiations are in February, but the administration has not yet clearly formulated whether and why it supports or does not support this agreement.
