Delmenhorst/Oldenburg – After the scandal surrounding the photo of a sex doll with Nazi symbols, CDU local politician Bülent Büyükbayram from Delmenhorst has apparently drawn the first conclusions. As the Oldenburg CDU regional association announced on Wednesday upon request, Büyükbayram has left the party and resigned from his office. “I can hereby confirm that the person concerned resigned from the party today and is no longer a member of the CDU,” said a spokesman.

FC St. Pauli reacts to the photo

The former CDU politician is said to have posted the photo on October 26th in a private Facebook group with several hundred members. This shows a sex doll wearing a St. Pauli sweater and hanging on a gallows. The words “ScheiSS St. Pauli” can be read on her forehead, with the “SS” apparently representing Nazi symbols. These Sig runes were used by the Schutzstaffel (SS) of the NSDAP. The Oldenburg public prosecutor’s office is considering starting an investigation following a criminal complaint.

The photo could be due to the disputes between the fans of Atlas Delmenhorst and FC St. Pauli. Büyükbayram describes himself as a supporter of the Delmenhorst fan group “Block H”, which was criticized by St. Pauli fans at a DFB Cup game in August 2023 because of possible connections to right-wing extremists. The Hamburg Bundesliga soccer team has already announced that it is considering legal action against Büyükbayram and condemned the photo.

Facebook profile deleted

So far, Büyükbayram has not commented on the allegations. The Delmenhorst-Nord district association also continues to leave a corresponding request unanswered. On the CDU Delmenhorst homepage, Büyükbayram was still listed as deputy chairman of the city district association on Wednesday afternoon. The former CDU politician was quicker himself: his Facebook page has been no longer available since Wednesday and has apparently been deleted.
