A very drunk woman caused an accident on Tuesday around 3:15 p.m. in Mundenheim. According to the police, she had 5.2 per thousand alcohol in her blood. The accident occurred in the Adlerdamm / Saarlandstrasse intersection. According to the current status of the investigation, the 42-year-old driver drove her Smart into a bus that was standing at a red light when turning into Saarlandstrasse. Neither the driver nor the occupants of the bus were injured. Overall, however, there was property damage of around 15,000 euros. Several witnesses reported the 42-year-old’s Smart a few minutes before the accident, as the driver is said to have been driving in serpentine lines over the B 9 in the direction of Kaiserwörthdamm. In fact, the woman was heavily drunk. A voluntary breath alcohol test showed a value of 5.2 per thousand.
