The 24.1-megapixel back-illuminated stacked CMOS sensor combined with the DIGIC X processor gives the EOS R3 perfection in speed, accuracy and image quality. The camera’s Electronic Shutter is capable of shooting in continuous shooting mode at up to 30 fps at full resolution, even when the AutoFocus (AF) and Auto Exposure (AE) tracking features are still active. This camera can also reduce rolling shutter distortion. The latest sensor technology also allows users to comfortably without being disturbed by blackouts on the screen.
Dual Pixel CMOS AF II technology provides outstanding AF speed and accuracy. The EOS R3 also offers a very interesting cutting-edge feature, namely Eye Control AF. This feature is able to allow users to select the focus point using eye movements via the Electronic View Finder (EVF).

Canon continues to develop the EOS iTR (Intelligent Tracking & Recognition) AF X with deep-learning technology. In addition to the Eye Detection AF and Animal Detection AF features, the EOS R3 has a new feature that is highly coveted by automotive fast-action photography enthusiasts, namely Vehicle Priority AF.
