As you know, I led the work of the construction and statutory reforms that the National Society currently has. I have always had the disposition and the time to provide advice, accompaniment and permanent support to each of the Sections, in the different situations in which they have requested it, due to my experience and my humanitarian journey within the Red Cross.
I have led the structuring of the Volunteer Management Cycle of the Colombian Red Cross. I supported exchanges with other national societies and the participation of volunteers from the groups in international and national congresses.
I have worked in the training and modernization of the Community Educators program. I proposed the creation of Sectional and municipal ethics committees, which ensure compliance with the mission, principles, values and the code of ethics, by Presidents, Boards of Directors, Directors, Volunteers and employees. Today, I am part of the Provisional Steering Committee of the Colombian Red Cross University Foundation.
On behalf of the National Society I have participated in important spaces worldwide: BMZ Project between the National Societies of Colombia, Peru and Ecuador focused on strengthening volunteerism. I participated in the Council of Delegates, Antalya-Turkey of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies held in Geneva in 2017. I attended the Inter-American Conference of the Federation in Buenos Aires-Argentina and as As President of the Valle del Cauca Section, I hosted the Meeting of the Global Youth Commission of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, in the year 2022.
These achievements would not have been possible without the commitment of the Institution and the tireless work of people like you, volunteers and employees, who with their actions uphold the good name of our Red Cross, its reputation, credibility and the confidence that we have in every corner of our national territory.
