Building savings has a new number one. Here is a comparison

The offers of building societies are changing more this year than ever before. First, they abolished the fees for concluding the contract, and in recent weeks, four out of five savings banks have increased their interest rates on deposits to 1.5%. At 1% interest remains only ČSOB stavební spořitelna (Liška). It now comes with a premium of CZK 2,000, which compensates for the lower interest rate – at least for monthly deposits of CZK 1,700.

The ranking of the most advantageous offers on the market continues Raiffeisen Building Society, which, however, is only for those who open a new current account with the parent Raiffeisenbank. The second offer from ČSOB stavební spořitelna has a similar limitation – the condition is a new account with ČSOB.

Overall, the best offers for a wider range of interested parties are in third and fourth place – both from ČSOB stavební spořitelna. The fox thus becomes the new number one if you are looking for a way to start building savings without significant restrictions beyond normal conditions.

Others offer very similar evaluations building societies, they lose only a few crowns to the Fox. The basic conditions of all building societies are comparable. A certain disadvantage of Fox and Blue pyramids is that they have a “split interest rate”. For the Fox, the basic rate is 0.6%, which is increased by a bonus of 0.4%, for the Blue Pyramid it is 1% + 0.5%. To obtain the bonus, it is necessary to meet the prescribed conditions – especially regular savings. The conditions are not harsh, but it is necessary to remember them.
