A fire in a three-story building broke out in Brooklyn last night.
The fire started at about 11:30 at 64 Devoe Street in the Williamsburg sector.
The four-alarm fire originated on the third floor, according to fire officials.
It took more than two and a half hours, 40 fire fighting units and 170 personnel to control the fire.
Six firefighters ended up with minor injuries.
Four apartments were destroyed, leaving about 12 residents homeless, according to press reports.
The reason for the incident is still unknown.
