Building Collapse at Former Café Le Carlton: Workers Escape Unharmed, Search for Possible Victims Underway

It concerns an empty 4-storey building, the former café Le Carlton. Walter Derieuw of the Brussels fire brigade said that two workers were working in the building: “They heard a cracking noise, after which the building collapsed like a house of cards. Fortunately, they were able to get to safety in time.”

At first glance, there were no injuries, but to be sure, sniffer dogs will probably be used to check whether anyone has ended up under the rubble.
