When you start FUT mode in EA Sports FC 24, you only have a few coins available. We’ll show you a cheap Bundesliga team to start with.
What kind of team is this? If you want to start with players from the Bundesliga, you have many options for putting together a powerful team. But strong cards are expensive and coins in Ultimate Team are in short supply at the start.
That’s why you’ll find a team here that you can put together for a total cost of less than 20,000 coins (current status, September 24, 2023).
Here, particular attention was paid to particularly cheap cards that offer you a basis for earning your first rewards in the first games. With such teams you can easily compete in Squad Battles to collect rewards or collect your first victories in the first divisions of Division Rivals.
In the long term you can then start replacing players and improving the team.
11 cheap Bundesliga players to start in Ultimate Team
This is the team: So that you don’t have to worry about chemistry, we only looked at players who all come from the same league: the Bundesliga.
Care was taken to ensure that the team could not cost more than 20,000 coins. According to the current status, the selection comes to around 15,000 coins. Please note, however, that prices on the transfer market fluctuate.
Here you can find the team we created for EA Sports FC 24 using a squad builder:

Who is on the team? The Bundesliga offers many strong options in goal, we chose Hrádecký (approx. 800 coins) for a cheap but solid option.
Things get a little more expensive in defense: On the far left is Grimaldo, who is already one of the best LVs in the Bundesliga. He currently costs 3,000 coins and is the most expensive in the team, but the investment could be worth it. He can also play LM and also brings play styles that improve his crosses, free kicks and anticipation.
In central defense there are two classics from the FUT starter squads of recent years: Lacroix (approx. 1,700) and Klostermann (approx. 1,500). They bring a good combination of speed and defensive security.
At the back right there is a cheap player in Mazraoui (700), but he has play styles that give him a defensive and technically good foundation.
In the midfield, Skhiri (2,100) and Kohr (700) are inexpensive but consistent scorers. Skhiri could also drop in price again as a regular gold card.

Julian Brandt is positioned in front of it, which currently costs 1,400 coins. Brandt even brings the “PlayStyle Plus” called “Tiki Taka”. This means he is able to make quick, direct passes on the ground and act very precisely and with speed in the short passing game. A very good centerpiece for a starter team. In addition, his long distance shots are also a real weapon.
There aren’t many cheap alternatives in the Bundesliga in left midfield. We chose David Raum (750), who could also play as a left-back. With him and Grimaldo you have a very safe wing. On the right, Serge Gnabry (2,200) can cause danger as a dribbler.
That still leaves the striker. If you want to stay really cheap, Ihlas Bebou is a good option (600). The attacker has decent speed and four stars in skills. It would also be an option for the early evolutions to get slightly better stats.
With this starter team you could get started cheaply and collect your first victories. Then it’s time for upgrades, for which we’ll show you a few examples.
Possible improvements in the next step:
Leroy Sané (RM, 13,500 coins) Donyell Malen (RM, 12,000 coins) Timo Werner (ST, 12,500 coins) Konrad Laimer (ZDM, 9,000 coins) Nico Schlotterbeck (IV, 8,100) Florian Wirtz (ZOM, 5,000)
