The Seobu Arterial Road is an urban expressway with a length of 8.1 km from Doksan-dong (Siheung Bridge) in Geumcheon-gu to Yangpyeong-dong (Mokdong Bridge) in Yeongdeungpo-gu and four round trips.
A city official said, “After the construction of the western arterial road is completed in August, the existing road will be reduced to create a general road, and 300 public rental housing units will be built using approximately 63,800㎡ of idle land around the roadside.”
This plan is the maximum possible to build public housing along the western arterial road. The city’s explanation is that the length of the idle site extending along the road is wide, but the actual housing site is insufficient. The public rental housing site is planned in the areas of Guil Station in Guro-gu and Gwangmyeong Bridge in Geumcheon-gu.
