In the matter of the “Bühlepark redevelopment area”, department head Petra Schmidtmann-Deniz reported to the Environment and Technology Committee that she had discussed the next steps with the city’s lawyer this week. Jürgen Kaupp (CDU) inquired about the state of affairs. The former hospital is located in the redevelopment area. The city has to tender an investor procedure for the future use of the building across Europe.
Coordination talks are currently taking place with the commissioned “Municipal Urban Renewal” (KSG) from Freiburg. She will have more detailed information on February 25 at the next committee meeting.
Lord Mayor Dorothee Eisenlohr added that after the “exciting public question time” she wrote to the citizens concerned again and answered their critical questions. “I haven’t heard much since then.” The administration will soon report on the status of work in the redevelopment areas, said Eisenlohr.
