If you speak French, you may already know a little bit about what this specialty is about. “Les Légendes du Ciel” can be translated into Czech as “legends of heaven”, so it celebrates pilots and aviators.
Bugatti wants to remind the limited connection of the brand with aviation with a limited edition. This basically concerns two areas. The company’s founder Ettore Bugatti already had a warm relationship with flying, airplanes and pilots, and aviation allegedly even inspired him.
Bugatti has also been producing aircraft engines since 1915, and in 1937 Ettore himself designed a complete aircraft to break speed records. However, these plans were thwarted by World War II.
The second connection concerns adventurers associated especially with the Bugatti brand in the first half of the 20th century. Several famous Bugatti racers were pilots at the same time. The carmaker mentions fighters like Albert Divo, Robert Benoist or Bartolomeo “Meo” Costantini. Legendary French pilot Roland Garros again owned the Bugatti Type 18.

But back to the present. Chiron Sport Les Légendes du Ciel boasts a matte gray lacquer, complemented by a white stripe and a French tricolor on the door sills. The symbol of an aircraft propeller appears in various places. We can find it in various ways in the interior.
The cabin also boasts light brown leather upholstery, aluminum decors and sketches of the Nieuport 17 and the Bugatti Type 13.
The drive system is taken from the classic Chiron Sport, so behind the seats is a well-known supercharged eight-liter 16-cylinder with an output of 1,103 kW and a torque of 1,600 Nm
As we have already revealed, Bugatti will build only 20 copies of the limited edition. The price starts at 75 million crowns.
