This time the company showed a special version of the Hommage T50S, which is dedicated to the historical Type 50S model – the first Bugatti to take part in the 24 Hours of Le Mans marathon. The coupe is distinguished by its side “fives”, the inscriptions “LeMans 1931”, the scheme of the LeMans Sarthe ring on the retractable spoiler and the black color of the body and wheels. The interior features not only commemorative plaques and inscriptions, but also images of the Type 50S model hand-embroidered on the door trim. The Bugatti Chiron Hommage T50S was produced in a single copy and, judging by the orange reflectors, is intended for a buyer from the USA.
Indian division of the company Skoda is preparing for the premiere of a new compact crossover, created taking into account the requirements of the local market. The length of the car will be less than four meters, that is, it will fall into a preferential tax category. As planned, the SUV on the MQB-A0-IN platform will have an attractive price and will become the first car of the brand for many Indians. With its help, by 2026, Skoda intends to increase sales in India to 100 thousand cars annually. The as yet unnamed junior crossover is scheduled to enter the market in the first quarter of 2025; it will be produced on the same assembly line as the local Skoda Kushaq and Slavia models.
A mid-size crossover has been announced for the Russian market BAIC X75. It is a restyled Beijing X7 model, which debuted in China almost a year ago. It’s interesting that just last fall Avtotor already started producing the BAIC X7 model, that is, the pre-reform version of the same crossover! But now it will move on to assembling an updated version under a new index. The crossover is equipped with a 1.5 turbo engine (177 hp, 300 Nm), a seven-speed preselective “robot” and no alternative front-wheel drive. The start of sales of the BAIC X75 model is scheduled for March, at which time specifications and prices will be announced.
Chief engineer of the company Land Rover Matt Becker said the company will not use wheels larger than 23 inches in diameter even on its largest models. According to Becker, “you just don’t want larger wheels,” and 24-inch wheels are rare. Kama company published photos from winter testing of an electric car Atom. They depict the so-called mules: the body of the Chinese Geometry E electric car, rebuilt locally, is installed on the original rear-wheel drive Atom chassis with an electric motor producing 204 hp. and a battery with a capacity of 77 kWh. Full bodies will be ready only by the end of this year. The start of serial production of Atom electric vehicles is scheduled for mid-2025.
Images of a station wagon appeared in the Rospatent database Lada Iskra. This model replaces the Granta and was originally part of the XJO project, developed on the Renault platform. However, after the French company left Russia, AVTOVAZ was forced to search for new suppliers, which inevitably delayed the project’s implementation timeline.
