DOP buffalo mozzarella from Campania will be the protagonist of the 2024 edition of the “Week of Italian Cuisine in the World“, which will be held from 16 to 22 November, promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. This year’s theme is “Mediterranean Diet and Roots Cuisine: Health and Tradition” and Bufala PDO will be at the center of numerous initiatives around the world.
The Consortium for the Protection of Campania Buffalo Mozzarella, in fact, will fly to New York to participate in the events organized by the Italian Trade Agency. In particular, the director of the Consortium, Pier Maria Saccani, will be among the speakers at the conference “Mediterranean Diet and the Recipes from our Roots: Health & Tradition”, scheduled for November 21st at 5.30 pm (local time) at the ITA headquarters in New York. It will be an opportunity to discuss the future of the Mediterranean diet, of which the Bufala Campana is an integral part.
Also as part of the Week of Italian Cuisine in the world, two other stages are planned. From 19 to 21 November the Dop mozzarella will be in Oslo, Norway, for a focus on the excellence of Campania between show cooking and a special tasting at the Italian Cultural Institute in Oslo, in collaboration with the Italian Embassy and the Campania Region. Furthermore, the president of the Consortium, Domenico Raimondo, will arrive on November 20th in Tbilisi, Georgia, to participate in the events promoted in synergy with the Italian Embassy. Here the Bufala Campana will be the only product to represent Italy in the conference with students, entrepreneurs and institutions dedicated to Italian cuisine, while in the evening it will be the queen of the masterclass on pizza.
“The Week of Italian Cuisine in the world represents an exceptional international showcase for our DOP mozzarella”, comments President Raimondo and adds: “This year we expect stages in strategic areas, which will allow us to strengthen the knowledge and diffusion of our product , in the wake of the success that Made in Italy enjoys in the world and in perfect line with the mission of the Consortium, which is to promote and protect the white gold of Campania”.
