The chairman of the DKM Musala Baiturahman, Ustaz Mulyadi explained how the seconds of the buffalo that were going to be sacrificed in the prayer room had run away. Buffalo The man fled until he was shot by officers because he was afraid it would be dangerous.
The incident began when Ustaz Mulyadi was about to move the buffalo from a place that was hot due to the scorching sun to a more shady place. When they were about to be moved, Mulyadi said the buffalo was shocked when they heard the sound of a horn.
“This animal was surprised to hear the sound of a horn from a driver who might be impatient or something, because it’s called a situation like this where children interfere with the road, maybe the driver takes time and so on so that he honks the horn so that the buffalo startles,” said Mulyadi when met at the Baiturahman Musala, Sunday (10/7/2022).

Mulyadi said that at that time one person who was holding a buffalo mooring rope was stepped on until his toenails peeled off. The buffalo then went berserk and rammed into people around, especially those wearing red clothes.
“So that reflexively the one holding the mooring rope was stepped on by his foot until his toenail peeled off and his leg was badly injured. Then when he released he turned to the animal that had been slaughtered and then turned around and walked forward but the nutmeg was pointing at the animal that had been slaughtered. While walking, apparently This buffalo with a red color is very sensitive, many are wearing red shirts and then red is found again, so this is a psychological change from the sacrificial animal so that it becomes aggressive,” he said.
After the buffalo ran 200 meters from the Baiturahman Musala, the locals managed to tame the buffalo. When there were residents who screamed hysterically, the buffalo became aggressive again and then returned free and crashed into whatever was in front of it until it was finally shot.
“Drivers, stalls, residents’ houses, roadsides, which were passed until several residents were injured. There were minor injuries to serious injuries. Until now they are still being treated at the Tangerang public hospital because it was the owner who handed over this sacrificial animal. If you have good faith, you have a responsibility, so you will be held accountable for everything, even if the vehicle is damaged, we will immediately complete the responsibility for the damage, and we will replace it immediately,” he said.
Mulyadi said the buffalo was still slaughtered at the scene even though his condition was paralyzed. This decision was taken to avoid unwanted events.
“Still alive (after being shot). We will slaughter them while they are still alive. I took the initiative rather than later becoming more victims. I dared to kill myself immediately. I asked the officers for help, please tie his legs. ,” he said.
Mulyadi said the buffalo was shot using a standard long-barreled weapon by Brimob officers. According to him, there are things that are very unexpected that were not previously thought.
