Buenos Aires, the best city for digital nomads in Latin America

The city of Buenos Aires is preparing to host NomadsBA, the first conference of digital nomads in the region. It will be on November 26 and 27, at the Usina del Arte, in the La Boca neighborhood.

The virtual and face-to-face event is an initiative of the Buenos Aires government which seeks to reactivate the visitor’s economy and attract 22,000 digital nomads to the City by 2023 in accordance with the plan drawn up by the authorities.

In this context, the conference is an annual meeting that seeks to consolidate Buenos Aires as the best destination in the region for remote workers, promoting the arrival of international tourists and young students and professionals. In fact, this year Buenos Aires was recognized as the best city in Latin America for nomads, according to “The Work-from-Anywhere Index”, ranking prepared by Nestpick.

“We want Buenos Aires to be chosen by young people from all over the world to live, study or work. A city develops more and better when it relates to the world. We are an ideal destination for digital nomads due to the quality and cost of living, the great cultural offer, the diversity and the high human capital ”, he said. During the meeting, digital nomads and entrepreneurs from all over the world will arrive in Buenos Aires to give talks and workshops on the lifestyle and opportunities of digital nomadism. The panels cover topics such as business models, personal brand development, wellness, travel tips and even cryptocurrencies.

There will be more than 40 figures recognized by the international community, among which stand out Jimmy Naraine (educator and entrepreneur); Matt Bowles (real estate entrepreneur); Axel Kutchevasky (film producer, screenwriter and journalist); Rosanna Lopes (digital marketing expert and creator of nomadic communities), and Alec Oxenford (founder of OLX Group and Letgo).

With the advent of new travel trends, such as vacations combined with work and study, along with growing global opportunities for remote work, digital nomads are becoming an increasingly important segment among international visitors.

A week with more than 25 activities for digital nomads

In addition to the two-day NomadsBA event, prior to the conference, from November 22 to 25, the City will organize more than 25 free activities designed for nomads, such as talks, guided tours, opening of coworking spaces and talks about facilities and opportunities that Buenos Aires offers.

The week will start with a very special kick off. Fuck Up Night Buenos Aires, will launch a thematic edition of digital nomads at the 25 de Mayo Cultural Center with the support of Assist 365.
