“Unfortunately, rising energy and costs – whether in terms of payroll or transport – are forcing us to make that adjustment. Some costs even rise in the hundreds of percent, some in units. Budweiser Budvar expects to pay hundreds of millions of crowns more for materials next year than this year. This is the impact of rising energy, fuel and other raw material prices on operations. The can supplier has already announced to the brewery that it will increase in price by tens of percent. Already in October, Petr Dvořák, the director of Budvar, said so.

According to the director, Budvar fulfilled its growth plan for the first three quarters of this year. Revenues from beer will be around CZK 2.9 billion this year, last year it was 2.73 billion, according to the annual report.
