Budi Arie Setiadi President Joko Widodo officially inauguratedJokowi) became the Minister of Communication and Informatics. Budi Arie promised to clean up the ‘mountain of problems’ in Kominfo.
As is well known, Budi Arie, who previously held the position of Wamendes-PDTT, has been appointed as the Minister of Communication and Informatics. The inauguration was held at the Merdeka Palace, Central Jakarta, Monday (17/7/2023).
Apart from inaugurating Budi Arie, Jokowi appointed 5 deputy ministers and 2 members of the Wantimpres. The following is a complete list of persons inaugurated today:

2. Deputy Minister of Communication and Information Nezar Patria
3. Wamendes Paiman Raharjo

Jokowi’s direction to Budi Arie
After inaugurating Budi Arie, President Jokowi asked the Minister of Communication and Information Budi Arie to work quickly on the remaining positions in the 2019-2024 Indonesia Onward cabinet. Jokowi asked that the completion of the BTS project be continued.
“I want the first to be the Minister of Communication and Information, the completion of the BTS must be prioritized,” said Jokowi at the State Palace, Central Jakarta.
Jokowi respects the ongoing legal process in the BTS case. But he wants the BTS project to continue because it involves service to the community.
“Please go ahead with the legal settlement. We respect the legal process, but the settlement of the BTS must also continue because later it will involve services to the community, especially in frontier and underdeveloped areas,” Jokowi said.
