Budget Laws Must Pass Through National Council for Tripartite Cooperation, Says KT Podkrepa President

Budget laws must necessarily pass through the National Council for Tripartite Cooperation. Dimitar Manolov, president of KT Podkrepa, explained this to BNR.

“The balance is absent and difficult to achieve. The official government, which should be seen almost as a technical body, gives direction for the development of politicians. They have been silent. The technical government makes politics. It pushes politicians to do something”.

He explained that one cannot continue with another extended budget.

“There are a series of laws that record what should happen and the enactments of those records are not reflected in this year’s budget. They were reflected in last year’s budget. They are no longer relevant. The government that is going to govern has to decide who law will fulfill, which is absurd”.

There are a number of sectors where tensions are simmering, Manolov pointed out.

“It is mostly in the state sector. 120 thousand people work in the administration. At the end of last year, the government decided that salaries will increase in some administrations and not in others. When such a thing is done, it creates a feeling of inequality throughout the system”.

Dimitar Manolov explained that employers pay ridiculous taxes on profit and this must be reviewed.

He believes that if the EC does not accept Bulgaria’s proposal to revise the EPA in terms of reducing emissions by 40% by 2025, there is no plan B.

“Bulgaria is disappearing. The indications from Brussels are positive for now. However, they are unofficial. The EC will not back down from the closure of the “Brickel” plant in the “Maritsa – East” complex. Everyone in Bulgaria who makes decisions wants to gather there and then to is being talked about’.

Today, from 12:30 to 10 p.m., KT “Podkrepa” organizes “Rock for Labor” next to the “Earth and People” Museum on the occasion of Labor Day. Dimitar Manolov recalled that the 8-hour working day, sick leave and maternity leave are rights won by the workers.

“Every year there will be something to fight for. This fight must continue, even though it is hard and often thankless. Sooner or later the effort will be appreciated. Let us all celebrate together today and listen to rock”.
