In the latest episode of ‘Secret Duets’, the panel members discover a new talent in former ‘Koffietijd’ presenter Quinty Trustfull (52): she turns out to be a nice singer. On stage, Quinty immediately reveals that he has a special bond with panel member Buddy Vedder (28).
“He has been a kind of son-in-law of mine”
As with every episode, this week the panel members get a look into the dressing room of the secret singer. Buddy sees a house with a garden. There is also a pink cable sweater with a Pink Ribbon ribbon on it. The secret singer also appears to be very sporty; this is made abundantly clear by the sports equipment that can be found in the locker room.
Samantha Steenwijk noticed the Pink Ribbon ribbon. “Who has to do with that?” the singer wonders out loud. René Froger immediately takes a gamble. He suspects that it concerns Quinty. “You look like Loretta Schrijver,” Buddy says jokingly, since Loretta is in The Masked Singer always thinks that her friend and former colleague Quinty is hiding in the suits.
The panel members then speculate some more. Samantha can do the TV show Coffee time but don’t let go, she says. And that is precisely the program that Quinty has presented for years. Not much later, Buddy recognizes her voice in the second round. And as host Jamai Loman drops a final hint – that the secret singer ‘I recently had to make her own coffee’ – there is not much left to guess.
Buddy jumps for joy as soon as he sees that Quinty is his duet partner. “You’re so cool,” he says full of admiration to the presenter. “He was a kind of son-in-law of mine,” Quinty then says. That is less smooth than it sounds: “Her daughter Moïse is also into it Good times Bad Times played and she was my girlfriend there,” Buddy explains.
After the performance, Jamai is curious about Quinty’s life after quitting Coffee time. The presenter indicates that she now mainly spends a lot of time with her husband Orlando. She also managed to get a part in a film. She says that she is very happy with her new life as a freelancer and that she has enjoyed her excursion Secret Duets.
