Head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence Kirill Budanov considers “rather unlikely” the scenario of the development of the war between Russia and Ukraine, in which the occupiers, who are desperate to win with “conventional” weapons, use tactical nuclear weapons. He said this on the air of the national telethon UArazom.

“But once again I say: calm down, everyone – these are only threats. If Putin completely loses his mind and tries to do this … Even technically, it is not so easy to do,” said the head of the GUR.
Budanov acknowledged that the leader of the occupiers “may try to do this,” but immediately added – “it is quite unlikely that he will go for it.”
“This is an element of bargaining, an element of blackmail, and blackmail of the whole world. Everyone understands this,” he summed up.
