PIOMBINO – Bucci vs LNG terminal: “It’s in Piombino and it’s there”. Giani: “Has he been elected minister?”
Bucci vs regasifier, the new president of the Liguria Region says no to the regasification terminal former Golar Tundra, now Italis LNG, in Vado Ligure: “It’s in Piombino and it’s there. It’s the ideal place.”
The reply from Eugenio Giani, president of the Tuscany Region: “The government will be asked, after the three years, where the regasification terminal will go today in Piombino, because it has the authorization, as far as I’m concerned, for the three years”.
Then Giani: “Bucci was elected minister or governor of Liguria? If he has been elected minister, I note that the Government does not want to follow up on the indications I gave in the ordinance three years ago in Piombino. The port quay must return to its functions which are those of Piombino as a center of trade, commerce and activity both from a steelmaking point of view and from a point of view strictly inherent to the vast-spectrum activity of a port”.
So the new president of Liguria follows up on the statements by deputy minister Rixi, Ligurian League secretary Salvini, on the eve of the Liguria Region elections. “The regasification terminal is not moving to Liguria,” Rixi had said.
Availability that the Liguria had given up with former president Giovanni Totiwho resigned due to legal matters.
