BTV journalist – Terziev owes me money! – 2024-05-11 08:12:06

A journalist shouted on the air that the capital’s mayor owed him money!

News from Japan prompted bTV sports journalist Petar Bakardjiev to state on air that the mayor of Sofia, Vasil Terziev, owed him money. The news was that the Japanese authorities were offering 1 million yen – about three workers’ wages there – as an incentive to people with children who want to move from the capital Tokyo to live in the countryside.

Forecasters Prof. Rachev and Stasi Tsalova specified that in fact the compensation could reach 5 million yen, which is about 35 thousand euros. The measure is to reduce Tokyo’s huge population.

The sports journalist immediately made an analogy with Sofia, which, although far from the scale of the Japanese capital, also needs “unloading” from the people living there.

“I lived for 20 years in Sofia, I went to live in a village. Vasil Terziev should include me in some such program”, announced Petar Bakrjiev.

“So, I’m declaring here, Mr. Terziev, you owe me some money,” he added, encouraged by host Maria Tsantsarova. Bakardjiev admitted more seriously that it is difficult for him to cope with parking and driving in Sofia, apparently as a result of not living in the capital anymore.
