Editorial. ― Two members of the popular South Korean band BTS, Jungkook y Vfiled a civil suit for 90 million won (approximately 68 thousand dollars) against a channel of YouTube appointed Sojangdue to “damages y damages by defamation and other illegal acts.”
The action was filed through the band’s label, Big Hit Musicand the first hearing is scheduled for August 23 at the Civil Division 12 of the Western District Court of Seoulfive months after the court was first informed in March 2024.

The company has also emphasized that the initial lawsuit included others suspectsin addition to Sojang, so this process will continue its course focusing on all the people who have violated the rights of BTS artists.
In its statement, Big Hit Music said, “Although it will take some time punish We will take strong legal action to the end of the case against the suspects.” They added: “Our work will continue [mientras los miembros de BTS cumplen su servicio militar obligatorio] and we will take severe measures against the suspects. There will be no leniency or compromise under any circumstances.”
It is worth mentioning that Sojang (aka Park) has also been accused of defaming Kang Daniel by posting a video titled “The promiscuous private life of the nation’s idol-actor-boyfriend” in 2022, which contained unverified information.
