The members of the globally influential group were also “world class” in character. BTS’s Jungkook is setting an example for people with meaningful good deeds. Attention is drawn to the actions that show the personality of an influential star, and it is even more significant that the positive influence is connected to the fans.
Recently, Seoul National University Hospital announced that Jungkook donated 1 billion won (about 100 million yen) to Seoul National University Children’s Hospital. He said he made a donation to give sick children and their families a daily life. The donation will be used for treatment costs for children from low-income families and integrated care center projects.
Along with the donation, Jungkook said, “I hope I can be of some help to the suffering children, and I will support them so that they can smile.”
The actions of Jungkook, who has a great influence on society, show his warm personality, and the voices of support and praise continue.
Not just Jungkook, BTS members have been making steady donations and exerting a positive influence. Earlier this year, SUGA, Jimin, and J-Hope also donated during the earthquake in Turkey and Syria. Donations to purchase student uniforms, desks, and chairs, donations to polio (acute poliomyelitis) patients, donations to the preservation, restoration, and utilization of cultural properties, blindness, and victims of violence. Their support is wide-ranging, including supporting children.
What’s even more significant is that the fans are also participating in these activities. The BTS fan club is even more significant because not only Korean fans but also overseas fans participate in donations, and the good deeds of the members have a positive influence on the fans.
