BTS Leader RM Appointed as Public Relations Ambassador for National Defense’s Remains Discovery Team

RM (28, real name Kim Nam-joon), the leader of the group BTS, will act as a public relations ambassador for the Ministry of National Defense’s Remains Discovery Team (hereinafter referred to as the National Guard).

On the afternoon of the 1st, Kukyudan held a public relations ambassador appointment ceremony at the Seoul National Cemetery in Dongjak-gu, Seoul.

The national government announced that it had appointed RM as its public relations ambassador, believing that the image of BTS, which has raised its voice on various social issues such as racism, violence, and prejudice, is in line with the humanitarian level of the remains excavation project.

At the appointment ceremony, an appointment plaque with the phrase ‘to the arms of the motherland’ was handed over to RM.

RM said, “I feel a sense of pride and great responsibility because excavation of the remains of the dead is a matter of respecting all those who gave their lives to protect the country and setting the best example for them.” We will do our best to publicize the meaningful activities performed by the team at home and abroad,” he said.

In the future, RM plans to publicize the policy for the remains excavation project by donating talents such as portrait rights and voice as a public relations ambassador for the National Property Organization.
