Group BTS’ Jungkook’s official solo debut song ‘Seven’ has succeeded in entering the top spot of the UK’s Official Singles Chart ‘Top 100’.

According to the latest chart released on the 21st (local time), Jungkook entered the chart at No. 3, following Dave Central’s ‘Sprinter’ and Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘Vampire’.

Along with the US Billboard chart, the British Official Chart is considered one of the two most prestigious pop music charts.

Jungkook’s 3rd place is the second highest for a K-pop solo singer, following the 1st place set by Psy’s ‘Gangnam Style’, which caused a global craze in 2012.

In addition, the highest ranking K-pop songs on this chart after ‘Gangnam Style’ were BTS’ ‘Dynamite’, ‘Butter’, and ‘My Universe’, which were ranked 3rd with Jungkook.

Jungkook’s ‘Seven’ is a song about wanting to be with the person you love all week, and it is a summer song that harmonizes with his sweet voice and sophisticated pop sense. In particular, it is addictive as the rhythm of the acoustic guitar and UK garage (a genre of electronic music created in England in the early 1990s) harmonizes.

On the same day, Jungkook appeared on the British BBC’s popular TV talk show ‘The One Show’ and continued local promotional activities. It has been about two years since he was interviewed with BTS in 2021 that he appeared on this program.

With the London skyline and the River Thames behind, Jungkook set up the stage for “Seven” to the live band’s performance on a stage set up at the heliport.

He said, “I’m really happy to be back (after the Wembley concert in 2019). I’ve been waiting for the ‘Seven’ stage in front of fans. Please look forward to seeing a completely new Jungkook (as a solo artist). I want to challenge more styles of music in the future.”

Girl group Fifty Fifty’s ‘Cupid’ entered the official single ‘Top 100′ latest chart at 56th, the same as the previous week, for 17 consecutive weeks. New Jeans’ new song “Super Shy” ranked 61st, down two notches from the previous week.
