BTN Makes Adjustments, Some Branch Offices Are Closed, Some Are Opened

JAKARTAKOMPAS.com – PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk or BTN plans to adjust the branch office network, by closing a number of existing sub-branches (KCP) and sharia sub-branches (KCPS).

On the other hand, the state-owned bank plans to gradually increase the number of KCP, KCPS, and functional offices (KF).

Director of Distribution & Funding BTN Jasmin said this step was taken in order to optimize the performance of the BTN office network, in line with the company’s growing digital banking business line.

The company, he continued, will also arrange the location by choosing strategic points through the opening and closing of several office networks.

“This strategy is part of our digital transformation design so that it is more efficient but still able to meet the needs and convenience of our customers,” said Jasmin, in a statement, Monday (20/6/2022).

He further said that BTN plans to add 30 offices in stages starting from 2022 to 2024.

As details, Bank BTN plans to add 27 KCPs, 2 Sharia Sub-Branch Offices KCPS, and 1 KF.

With this opening, the bank with the issuer code BBTN also closed 25 KCP and 1 KCPS.

The closure will be carried out in stages starting July 8, 2022.

Jasmin explained that customers of the closed office network will certainly not experience changes in account numbers and balances.

“Automated teller machines (ATMs) at closed outlets will also be relocated to other Bank BTN office network locations,” he said.

With various efficiency measures, as of March 31, 2022, BTN managed to reduce the ratio of Operating Expenses to Operating Income (BOPO) by 228 basis points (bps) on an annual basis.
