The Bernese started the game well and quickly took a 2-0 lead thanks to Strahm and Getzmann, the club wrote in their match report. Mats Hirt came through strongly and increased the score to 3-0, but Pathi was soon able to level it at 4-4 thanks to a quick response. The opening phase was characterized by high tempo, with both teams struggling in defence. In the 16th minute, Getzmann brought BSV back into the game with a nice lob to make it 6:6, but soon after, pfadi pulled away for the first time with 11:13.

In the following minutes, the city of Bern came under more pressure, also due to several time penalties and lack of attention in the attack. Scout took advantage of BSV’s mistakes and extended their lead to 18:13 by the 28th minute. Shortly before the break, however, BSV was able to reduce the score to 16:19 thanks to Arn and Wanner and at least create a good starting position for the second half.

The people of Bern were running behind them

After the break, Scout started the game better and took back the five-goal lead. The BSV fought back again and again, but the city of Bern could not reduce the deficit to less than two goals. Aellen and Kusio tried to keep the team in the game with important goals, and Brändle made crucial saves in the goal. In the 47th minute, pfadi called time out, but BSV was able to close the gap to 28:30 thanks to a goal from Kusio. After two premature ends in attack and quick goals from Scout Winterthur, the city of Bern soon fell back to a four-goal deficit.

Despite a fighting final level and important goals from Kusio, BSV could not turn things around. In the end, it was Scout Winterthur’s own inadequacy and the disjointed playing style that was the main town where Bern stopped and stopped the case at 35:40. Michael Kusio and Oliver Eggert were named the best players.

For BSV Bern it is now time to quickly forget about this loss and focus on the upcoming home games against TSV St. Otmar St. Gallen on Thursday and the Bern derby against Wacker Thun on Sunday.

Betrayal without opportunity

Wacker Thun had to travel back to the Bernese Oberland with a clear away defeat. Wacker Thun was able to hold its own away from home in Kreuzlingen until the 25th minute, after which many absences became very noticeable. Wacker lost the connection and finally had to admit that he lost Kreuzlingen with a score of 19:30, writing the club.
