The mayor of the municipality of Sozopol Tihomir Yanakiev, the leader of the list of the Second MIR of the BSP-United Left Petar Kanev and the representative of the left in the European Parliament Kristiyan Vigenin came to Sozopol to support the candidacy of the local person in the list – Yordan Petkov.
Mayor Yanakiev emphasized the achievements of the BSP in the previous governments in which it participated. He reminded that only the left has a social policy that is directed towards the citizens, towards raising their incomes and their standard of living. Yanakiev said that he supports Yordan Petkov, as he has the best chance to represent Sozopol Municipality in the National Assembly – in 4th place on the ballot with number 28. He called on his fellow citizens to support him with preference 104.
Yordan Petkov shared that his biggest local cause is for the state to transfer management to the island of St. Kirik and Yulita” of the municipality. And in the state, he wants to transfer the management model of the administration of the successful mayor Tihomir Yanakiev, who managed to lift the municipality out of the crisis in which he found it and to take back the property that was taken over by companies. Petkov specifically refers to the parking lots in Sozopol.
Kristijan Vigenin said that for the first time the left-wing parties appeared in elections united and the expectations of their opponents that they would quarrel and split up did not come true.
Petar Kanev also emphasized that there are 28 quality people in the list of BSP-United Left who want to participate with all their personal and professional experience and qualities.
He said that the motto of the campaign is “It’s time for decisions” and BSP-United Left has 100 decisions for the prosperity of Bulgaria. However, they can only be implemented if the left-wing parties participate in the governance of the country, and this can happen if the people vote.
All participants in the opening of the campaign united in their call to vote, because the low voter turnout leads to unprincipled assemblies that make experiments with the Bulgarian people and once again leads to early elections, which cost the state dearly.
Host Todor Petrov put aside the script and performed very emotionally John Lennon’s song “Imagine” as a wish to live in a world devoid of everything that does not allow us to be happy.
Finally, the audience enjoyed a concert by Dr. Ferferiev and the GP Band.
