The left will run in the early elections on July 11 with 11 changed leaders on the candidate lists, the BSP National Council decided, the BSP press center announced. The total number of constituencies in the country is 31.
In Varna BSP leader Cornelia Ninova will replace local politician Borislav Gutsanov. In the last elections, she headed the candidate lists in the 25th multi-member constituency (MIR) in Sofia and Plovdiv (city). Instead of c Plovdiv-city The list will be headed by Prof. Ivo Hristov, who also led the list in the 2017 elections.
On April 4, Varna became an arena of leadership clashes, as candidates such as former Health Minister Kostadin Angelov from GERB, the leader of “There is such a people” Slavi Trifonov, the co-chairman of “Democratic Bulgaria” Atanas Atanasov, the chairman of IMRO Krassimir Karakachanov appeared there. and Tatiana Doncheva from “Stand up! The National Council of the BSP also decided that in Vratsa Alexander Simov, who was the leader of the list in Smolyan in the April 4 elections, will replace actor Anastas Popdimitrov. IN Kardzhali the list will be led by Velizar Enchev instead of Petya Mihalevska, who will head the list in Smolyan… IN Haskovo Vladimir Marinov from ABV will replace Velizar Enchev.
A few days ago it became known that ABV and “Normal State” signed an agreement for joint participation in the elections on July 11. Unlike the leaders of ABV Georgi Parvanov and Rumen Petkov, who refused to be included in the lists, the chairman of “Normal State” Georgi Kadiev will not only participate in them, but will also appear as the leader of the list in Stara Zagora. He will replace Georgi Gokov, who will not be among the leaders this time.
IN Pazardzhik there will also be another leader – this is Dragomir Stoynev, who is considered part of the domestic opposition. The drivers are also new Razgrad, Dobrich and Kyustendil, respectively Elka Nedelcheva, Dimitar Danchev and Boyko Klechkov.
Despite the changes, the BSP will obviously repeat its strategy from the last elections and will bet on celebrities again.

Changes in the Executive Bureau as well
At today’s meeting of the BSP National Council, new members of the party’s narrow leadership were also elected. At the suggestion of the leader of the left, Cornelia Ninova, as members of the Executive Bureau, all leaders of lists for the upcoming elections were released. Among them are Georgi Svilenski, Krum Zarkov, Stoyan Mirchev, Ivan Ivanov and Manol Genov. The goal is to engage more people from the party, some with legislative work, others with the party, it is stated in the press release. At the same time, the current deputy chairmen Christian Vigenin, Irena Anastasova, Atanas Zafirov, Vladimir Moskov, some of whom are also list leaders, retain their positions. The current caretaker Minister of Justice, Yanaki Stoilov, is also no longer part of the party’s narrow leadership. After the failure of the previous elections, only Stoilov and Krum Zarkov demanded the resignation of Cornelia Ninova. Hristo Prodanov and Vyara Yordanova remain secretaries of the Executive Bureau, and Stefan Burdzhev joins them. The new additions are Genadi Sabkov, Stanislav Stoenchev, Tasko Ermenkov, Georgi Gokov, Emil Humchev, Prof. Dr. Georgi Yordanov.
Ninova’s proposals for changes in the party’s narrow leadership were adopted by 152 votes in favor and 2 abstentions.
