Bremen – The original private bottling is limited to 300 bottles and, in addition to the iconic bottle design, also comes in a noble gift box. The whiskey is matured in a bourbon cask and was bottled at natural cask strength of 50.1% ABV with no colorants or cold filtration. When choosing the barrel, the genuine character of the distillery, the aromas of juicy, ripe fruit and the typical vanilla and honey notes were convincing. Despite the high alcohol content, the whiskey is a real treat for the palate with creamy, spicy notes and an exciting beeswax note.

Thus, this Arran bottling carries the typical DNA of the island distillery and yet has its own individual character. Arran 17 Years Old Bourbon Hogshead Single Cask “Tilas Liste” will be available in a strictly limited edition from mid-December in well-stocked specialist shops.

About the Isle of Arran:

The Isle of Arran is beautiful and unique. With its mountains, plains, glens, lochs and royal castles, it embodies the whole Scottish landscape and is fondly known as ‘Scotland in miniature’. The Isle of Arran distillery was built in 1994 at the foot of the village of Lochranza. On 29 June 1995 the first alcohol flowed from the stills, bringing legal distillation back to Arran after more than 150 years.

This distillery was the first of a new generation of distilleries in the 1990s. Since that day in June 1995, when the first cask was filled, Arran has been producing premium unpeated single malt whisky, which has received international recognition thanks to numerous gold medals.

About the distillery:

The latest chapter in their whiskey story on the island began in June 2019 when the second Lagg distillery in South Arran opened its doors to the public and began producing heavily peated whiskey in the distinctive Arran style . Almost 25 years after starting the whiskey distillery in Lochranza, Isle of Arran Distillers are now the proud owner and operator of two very different and unique distilleries on the Isle of Arran.
