The 3rd matchday of the bowling club Bensheim almost turned out to be a debacle for the BSC … At first nothing came together and after the individual the BSC was already 4-28 behind. It was not only due to the facts that the BSC had no substitutes and played partly in poor health. In particular, the furious opponents from BC Darmstadt achieved a team average of almost 180 pins in their individual and were responsible for the well-deserved leadership. They impressively demonstrated that with a concentrated style of play, high results are also possible on the block-like oiled tracks in Bensheim.
Fortunately, the sports fans from Darmstadt slacked off in the doubles and in the team, so that the BSC was able to score surprisingly. In the 4 doubles the BSC got 16:12 points. The team game was very close for a long time. Ultimately, Boris Westram laid the foundation for the team victory and 5 points with a 204 game. In addition, there were 2 wins in direct comparison, so that the team classification also went to the BSC with 9: 4.
In the end it was a defeat for the Bensheimers, but everyone could live well with the 29:44.
