Crypto influencer Fernando Perez Algaba mysteriously disappeared for four days. On July 23, the infleuncer from Argentina was found but in a deplorable condition. Fernando died mutilated.
When found, the 41-year-old man’s body had been dismembered and put in a suitcase. The red suitcase was found by children playing ball in the river in Ingeniero Budge, Buenos Aires, on July 23.
At the scene, investigators reportedly found the victim’s legs and arms in a suitcase before finding the intact arms in the river. A torso was later exposed and the head was found in a backpack.
The body parts were neatly cut open, indicating that the mutilations could have been performed by a professional. The four-letter tattoo on the hand confirmed that the body belonged to Fernando, with later analysis of fingerprints providing further confirmation.
Fernando’s death was followed by rumors that he was heavily in debt. One of the suspects has now been detained but still has to undergo a trial process to find out the facts.
According to local media, Fernando has received more than 200 hostile audio and text messages. He was threatened by a man who demanded refund of his $70,000 debt and claimed that Fernando betrayed him.
In one of the text messages the voice read: “I’m not going to kill you, I’m going to do something worse to you, I’m going to gouge out your eyes and cut off your hands so you can’t have any more money in your life.”
