Pear tree (25-6 MMA) acting for the first time since being defeated by Khabib Nurmagomedov with submission in his attempt to win the undisputed light class title at UFC 242, September 7, 2019. The Diamond – nickname Poirier – appeared impressive in a brutal five-round battle to defeat Hooker with a unanimous decision (48-47, 48-47, 48-46). Duel Poirier vs Hooker becomes an absolute war. In the first two rounds, Hooker (20-8 MMA) who entered this fight with a capital of three consecutive wins (over James Vick, Al Iaquinta, and Paul Felder) got better grades than Poirier who was too hot.

Poirier was taken to the hospital immediately after the fight. Poirier had bruises and tears under his right eye. There were around 308 hits landed on his body, the third most in a five-round UFC light class battle.

Poirier, 31, also chirped on social media Twitter, with his photo lying in an ambulance, showing his war wounds before being treated by medical staff. “25 minutes! Paid in full! “He wrote, completing the picture.
Poirier is also grateful to Khabib Nurmagomedov who congratulated him on his victory. “Congratulations @DustinPoirier, great contact,” Khabib said on Twitter. “Thank you master,” Poirier replied.
