Brutal Beating of 1.5 Year Old Boy in Alappuzha: Mother’s Friend Accused

Alappuzha: Complaint that a one and a half year old boy was brutally beaten by his mother’s friend. The mother’s boyfriend beat up the son of a native of Alappuzha. The injured boy was admitted to Alappuzha Vandanam Medical College Hospital. Police registered a case in the incident.

The parents of the one and a half year old are separated. The child lived with his mother. The mother’s friend had given the baby to the father’s house the other day. Then the child said that it was painful to raise his hand. With this, when the father’s relatives checked, they noticed the marks of beating all over the body. When he was admitted to the hospital, he was found to have a fractured hand. With this, the family informed the police.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the mother’s friend beat up the one-and-a-half-year-old boy. When the relatives asked, the one and a half year old also revealed the same thing. As part of the investigation, the police have recorded the statements of the relatives. More information will be asked from the child. A report from the hospital will also be sought.
