A 17-year-old schoolgirl is fighting for her life after she was stabbed by an unknown man in Burgas on the evening of June 27, the prosecutor’s office announced.
The girl is in serious condition, with many stab wounds and cuts in the neck and body. She is accommodated in UMBAL Burgas.
The perpetrator was arrested and the district prosecutor’s office ordered his detention for up to 72 hours. This is Ivan K., a criminal, an old acquaintance of the police, for whom there is evidence that he is a drug addict.
He has been charged with attempting to intentionally kill a 17-year-old girl. The crime remained unfinished, as the victim was provided with qualified medical assistance, the prosecutor’s office said. The crime was committed on Transportna Street, near the turnoff for Cemetery Park.
The Burgas District Prosecutor’s Office is about to submit a request to the court to take a measure of restraint “detention in custody” against the accused.
