A New York taxi driver was badly beaten by a group of five people on a busy street in Midtown Manhattan last week.
The gruesome footage shows three women and two men repeatedly punching a 60-year-old taxi driver with their fists clenched and their shoes on near 6th Avenue and 34th Street on July 19.
The driver tries to avoid their blows and bends down to pick up an object from the street, but is continuously attacked. He loses his balance and collapses on the side of his taxi as one of the women punches him several times and kicks him in the chest, according to the video shared on Twitter.
The victim tries to protect his head with his hands while onlookers watch uninvolved. The woman is pulled out by one of the men before the clip ends.
He was taken by ambulance to New York University Hospital in stable condition.
Police said the taxi driver and the individuals argued before the brutal attack.
Two of the suspects, Howard Colley, 35, and Natalie Morgan, 51, both of Brooklyn, were arrested at the scene, officers said.

Colley was charged with assault for punching the taxi driver in the face, while Morgan was charged with criminal mischief for allegedly damaging the cab’s right side mirror, police said.
The New York State Taxi Drivers Federation has called for justice.
“We need to catch these young thugs and lock them up,” NYSFTD spokesman Fernando Mateo said in a statement. “This elderly driver did not deserve to be brutally attacked. Assaults, stabbings, shootings and robberies must stop.”
Police said their investigation into the assault is ongoing.
