At the moment, only 49.54 percent of the entire Brussels population is fully vaccinated. 52.24 percent of all Brussels residents have already received at least a first injection. In Flanders, that figure is a lot higher, at 79.41 percent. (If you only include the adult population, the numbers are higher everywhere.)
Brussels has started catching up and by the end of October the capital wants to achieve a vaccination rate of 65 percent. But to achieve that goal, an average of 16,000 first shots have to be taken every week. For the time being, Brussels is still a long way from that goal: last week only 9900 first shots were taken, the week before there were only 10,500.
