On Tuesday, the European Commission proposed a fifth package of sanctions against Russia for its invasion of Ukraine, which calls for a ban on Russian coal imports into the European Union. The aim is also to prevent Russian shipping and road hauliers from using EU ports and roads, and to reduce the export of important products from which the Russian regime has significant revenues.
