Róbert Zsigó stated that “Brussels’ pro-war policy affects everything, Hungarian farmers and agriculture must be protected from their bad decisions.”
According to the politician, Ukrainian grain is genetically modified and treated with prohibited chemicals, and the governing parties want to keep Hungary and Hungarian food GMO-free and safe.
He added that although everything has been done to mitigate the damage, Brussels has not sided with the European farmers, instead it continues to force the import of low-quality Ukrainian grain, and moreover, they want to admit Ukraine to the European Union in an accelerated procedure.
This would be another attack against the farmers and the national agriculture
he said.
