LThe firefighters of Brussels intervened, Thursday around 13:30, avenue Nekkersgat in Uccle, for a worker buried in a trench. The man managed to be extracted, then taken to the hospital, but his conditions are not worrying.
“We intervened, with the 112 medical services, to free a partially buried worker at the back of a house, avenue Nekkersgat in Uccle. He was in a trench ten feet deep when a landslide occurred. His entire lower body was blocked,” explained Walter Derieuw, spokesman for the Brussels fire brigade.
“The site was not accessible with heavy equipment, as it was too narrow, and to avoid another landslide, the firefighters manually cleared the victim for 45 minutes. He was evacuated to hospital, but his conditions are not worrying,” the spokesman said.
