Brussels Building Collapse: Belchicken Branch Devastated after Five Weeks of Opening

Although no injuries were reported, Friday evening’s collapse in Brussels had catastrophic consequences for the three surrounding buildings. One of them is the Belchicken branch of Amize Monir (40), which just opened its doors five weeks ago after a thorough and expensive renovation. The co-owner was present at the time of the tragedy and brought his panicking customers to safety as quickly as possible. A day after the collapse he is in sackcloth and ashes. “We had just been open for five weeks. How should I explain this to my staff?”
