At Brussels Airport, a Brussels Airlines plane performed a so-called ‘precautionary landing’ on Saturday afternoon after experiencing technical problems. The A330 that was flying towards Cameroon landed safely at 2.30 pm. A solution is being sought for the 235 passengers.

Equally big alarm at Brussels Airport on Saturday afternoon. The fire brigade was present en masse for a Brussels Airlines plane that had taken off at 13:16 for Cameroon and had to return.
“Technical problems were identified above Luxembourg and it was decided to return to Zaventem,” said spokeswoman Maaike Andries of Brussels Airlines. “The plane landed safely and the 235 passengers are taken care of. The device is now under investigation. We are looking for a solution for travelers to get them to their destination as quickly as possible.” Andries could not say anything about the nature of the technical problems.
The Brussels Airlines plane, an A330, would land in the Cameroonian cities of Douala and Yaoundé.
