According to Brussels Airlines, the vast majority of flights, about 8 in 10, will be able to continue on Wednesday.
“We have contacted the employees and we are told that the vast majority want to fly,” says spokesman Nico Cardone. “We may cancel a flight here and there, for example for destinations that we fly to several times a day, in order to create space to ensure that all other flights can continue.”
The management regrets the strike and says that there have been constructive meetings in recent days. Striking now “doesn’t bring a solution any closer”, it sounds. “There is a comprehensive proposal on the table and all union representatives agree to continue negotiations on the basis of this proposal. There is therefore no point in a strike at this time, as these discussions will continue anyway.”
