This afternoon, the Brussels firefighters intervened a little after 3 p.m., in Auderghem, rue du Moulin à Papier. A piling machine, which is used to install the foundation piles, collapsed on a car and the facade of a house located opposite the site on which it was operating.

A pedestrian passing by was fortunately warned by the workers of the imminent danger. She ran for her life. The machinist is also unscathed.

Vivaqua, which manages the water pipe in the street, and Sibelga were called to check that there was no further damage. An engineer descended on site to check the stability of the house. At first glance, the structure of the house was not affected.

The cause of the accident remains to be determined.
