Neat performance Bruno Fernandes along with a positive trend Manchester United. Michael Owen believes Fernandes has made MU a candidate for winning the Premier League title next season.
New Manchester United recruited from Sporting CP in January, Fernandes immediately stole the attention. The Portuguese midfielder appeared impressive by recording six goals and four assists in 13 appearances in all competitions.
Finally, Fernandes scored twice when Manchester United won 3-0 at the Brighton & Hove Albion headquarters. The victory also extended the positive trend of the Red Devils.
The Ole Gunnar Solskjaer landing team is now unbeaten in its last 15 matches in all competitions. MU also enlarges its chances to finish in the Champions League zone and is now only two points away from the top four English league standings.
Owen also gave praise to Fernandes. The former Liverpool striker considered Fernandes to have turned MU into a team worthy of being taken into account in the race for the title Premier League Next season.
“Manchester United are in an extraordinary performance and look like a very different team since the arrival of Bruno Fernandes,” Owen told BetVictor as reported Mirror.
“He was alone seen to bring the team to a different level and they now seem to be able to shake the top of the table next season.”
The next MU will host Bournemouth at Old Trafford in the continued English League on Saturday (07/04/2020) night WIB. Contrary to Manchester United, Bournemouth are in a negative trend after losing the last four games in a row.
“United beat Brighton 3-0 and although Bournemouth won 1-0 in the previous meeting last November, I see this will be another bad experience for the Cherries,” Owen said.
