Bruce Willis’ Wife Emma Heming Slams American Publication for False Information About Husband’s Condition and Advocates for Proper Education on Neurocognitive Diseases

The wife of Hollywood actor Bruce Willis, actress and former model Emma Heming, criticized one of the American publications, in which she saw untrue information about her husband’s condition. She announced this in a video on her page on social networks.

Heming said she was lured by the article’s headline related to her family. The text of the publication, whose name she did not provide, said that there was “no more joy” in Willis’ life.

According to the actress, “this is far from the truth”; the reality is the complete opposite of this statement.

“I need society and those who write these stupid headlines to stop scaring people into thinking that once they are diagnosed with some neurocognitive disease, everything will be over,” she reacted indignantly.

In reality, there is “much more” to the life of a family with a person with neurocognitive illness than there is in the “stupid headlines.”

“My experience is that two things can be true and exist at the same time. Grief and deep love. Sadness and deep connection. Trauma and resilience,” Heming wrote in a commentary on the video.

She emphasized that we are all being taught by the wrong people, people who have opinions rather than experience, who have not taken the time to properly study the various neurocognitive diseases.

“I see headline after headline and snippets of misinformation. I don’t even talk about my family, I’m already used to the madness of these far-fetched headlines and stories. I’m just talking about basic awareness of dementia and how they educate the public,” Willis’ wife continued.

The actress believes that it is because of incorrectly presented information that there is so much anxiety and depression in society. She urged anyone speaking out about dementia to be discreet in presenting their stories to the public and to “dig deeper”.

“There are so many great organizations and experts in this space to reach out to so you can really put your best foot forward and iron out your story and content,” concluded Heming.

As reported EADailyBruce Willis’ wife previously said she would write a book about her care for a man living with frontotemporal dementia.

In the book, the woman, who has been the actor’s guardian for the past two years, plans to outline the information she learned while caring for her husband, and she will also share resources to help others in a similar situation.

The book is designed as a resource for people with loved ones living with dementia and will include expert advice, interviews and personal experiences.
