Bruce Willis’ Battle with Frontotemporal Dementia and Retirement from Show Business: Updates and Care from Wife Emma Heming

Bruce Willis became famous, among other things, for his starring role in the series Moonlight. His creator and good friend Bruce Glenn Gordon Caron spoke about the actor’s current condition in connection with the launch of the series on the streaming platform Hulu.

“I know Bruce is really happy that the show is going to be available to people, even if he can’t tell me,” Caron, 69, told the newspaper New York Post. Viewers can watch the story of Maddie, played by Cybill Shepherd, and David Addison, played by Bruce Willis, on Hulu.

Bruce Willis has frontotemporal dementia, which causes speech problems and behavioral changes. “He’s not quite verbal. He used to be an avid reader – he didn’t want anyone to know – and now he doesn’t. He doesn’t have all those language skills anymore, and yet he’s still Bruce. When you’re with him, you know he’s Bruce and you’re grateful he’s here, but the zest for life is gone,” added friend Bruce.

The former actor is currently being cared for by his wife Emma Heming. This in March she thanked the public for their support, which they give to Bruce in connection with his illness. Bruce retired from show business last year due to his battle with cerebral aphasia, this year his disease has progressed.
