Bruce Willis: A Life without Words and Books

The star of the films “Die Hard”, “The Last Boy Scout”, “Armageddon” and many others, Bruce Willis has almost stopped talking and no longer reads books. About it publication Family friend and Moonlight creator Glenn Gordon Caron told The New York Post.

The producer noted that he tries to visit Willis at least once a month and spend time with him.

“I feel like in the first one to three minutes he’ll know who I am,” he said.

Caron added that Bruce Willis is one of those people who incredibly enjoy every day, loves waking up every morning and tries to live life as brightly as possible.

“There is no one who has more joy in life than him,” the producer noted.

“He barely speaks; He used to be an avid reader – he didn’t want anyone to know about it – but now he doesn’t read. All these language skills are no longer available to him, and yet he is still Bruce,” Caron added.

However, now Bruce Willis, despite his love of life, looks at everything as if through bars.

“Being around him, you understand that this is the old Bruce, and you are grateful that he is there, but the joy of life is no longer there,” concluded a family friend.

As reported EADaily in April last year, Bruce Willis, who was 67 years old at the time, announced his retirement from acting due to aphasia.

In February of this year, the family announced the exact diagnosis of the actor – frontotemporal dementia. The exact causes of the development of the disease are unknown, but half of those affected have a hereditary predisposition. As a result of the disease, the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain gradually atrophy. There are currently no effective treatment methods; all help consists of symptomatic therapy and care.
